Location
The Republic of Singapore is an island nation that is located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. It lies about 137 kilometers north of Indonesia's Riau Islands and south of the Malaysian state of Johor. It is also one of the few remaining city-states in the world.
Geography and climate
The city-state consists of 63 islands in all that includes the mainland. The largest islands in the region are Jurong Island, Pulau Tekong, Pulau Ubin and Sentosa. The city experiences a tropical rainforest climate with no distinctive seasons. Its climate is characterized by uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity and ample rainfall.

Airports
The Changi Airport of the city-state is a major aviation hub in Asia, more specifically in the Southeast Asian region and is the main airport of the state. The airport is Located in Changi on a 13 km (sq) site and is about 20 kilometers north-east from the commercial center.
