Location
This capital city is located on the Southwest of the Hawaiian State. All its commercial and industrial developments are located on a narrow but relatively flat coastal plain. This coastal plain divides its residential areas into distinct neighborhoods that are spread along valley floors and others on the interfluvial ridges. It also has many volcanic cones such as Punchbowl, Diamond Head, Koko Head, Koko Crater, Salt Lake and Aliamanu.
Geography and climate
It has a tropical climate with summers being hot and humid, though they are moderated by its mid-ocean location and some cooling achieved by the Californian currents. Also its winters are mild and rather pleasant.

The city has many bus links to its different neighborhoods. Though it doesn't have any direct connections to the highways still many freeways serve the city traffic. Moreover, even plans are underway for rail lines to assist for the daily commuters of the city.
